Artfarm opens first Swiss hotel Chesa Marchetta in Sils Maria
On January 2, 2026, Artfarm opened Chesa Marchetta, its inaugural hotel and restaurant located in Sils Maria, Switzerland. Established in 2014 by Swiss gallerists Iwan and Manuela Wirth, the company is currently headed by CEO Bee Emmott. After a four-year renovation led by architect Luis Laplace, Chesa Marchetta now boasts thirteen rooms, a restaurant with 46 seats, and a nearby three-room house under the management of Federica Bertolini, with Chef Davide Degiovanni in charge of the kitchen. Rates begin at 450 Swiss francs per night. In another development, Hauser & Wirth is set to acquire Palazzo De Seta in Palermo, Italy, following a preliminary agreement made in mid-November 2025.
