Artemest Raises €1.1M to Expand Luxury Italian Craft Marketplace in US and UK

Artemest, an e-commerce platform specializing in high-end Italian craftsmanship, has secured €1.1 million in funding to bolster its presence in the United States and the United Kingdom. The investment round includes contributions from IAG (Italian Angels for Growth), US investors Kirstie Steiner and Alessandra Lundry, venture capital firm SharkBites (whose majority shareholder is Fabio Cannavale, founder and CEO of lastminute.com), and the Rancilio Cube Family Office. Co-founder Marco Credendino stated that the funds will be used to expand operations in the US and UK, which currently account for approximately 80% of revenue, and to increase the number of artisans on the platform. Founded nearly two years ago by Ippolita Rostagno—founder and designer of the jewelry brand Ippolita—Artemest now features around 230 designers and artisan businesses, offering over 5,000 products across categories including Furniture, Design, Jewelry, and Art, distributed to about 60 countries. The platform serves as an international showcase for Italian artisans, from Murano glass masters to Florentine goldsmiths, with names such as Bruno Gambone, Antonino Sciortino, and Giacomo Moor. The site is updated daily with video and editorial content highlighting production processes.
