ArteFiera Bologna 2018: 42nd Edition Details and Gallery List Revealed

ArteFiera Bologna, Italy's longest-running art fair, has announced details for its 42nd edition, taking place February 2–5, 2018. Directed by Angela Vettese for the second consecutive year, the fair continues its strategy of emphasizing its Italian identity over international ambitions. The Main Section will host mostly Italian galleries, with exceptions like Voss (Düsseldorf) and Contini Art UK (London). Returning sections include Solo Show, Nueva Vista for emerging artists, Photo, and Printville bookshop. New additions include Special Projects: Performing the Gallery, focusing on time, space, and body as media; a section on prototypes bridging art and industrial production; and an international conference titled "Tra fiera e mostra – entre chien et loup" exploring the relationship between commercial fairs and non-commercial exhibitions. The fair also features the Polis section with film screenings and outdoor works to engage the city of Bologna.
