Arte ribelle: 1968-1978 exhibition at Galleria del Credito Valtellinese in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-05

From October 12 to December 9, 2017, the Galleria del Credito Valtellinese in Milan will present 'Arte ribelle. 1968-1978 Artisti e gruppi dal Sessantotto.' The exhibition, curated by Cristina Quadrio Curzio and Leo Guerra and developed by Marco Meneguzzo, delves into the artistic movements influenced by the political unrest, aspirations for change, and freedom-driven sentiments of Italy during the late 1960s and 1970s. Spanning works from 1965, it begins with anti-Vietnam War demonstrations and extends into the mid-1970s. Approximately 80 pieces will be showcased, including large artworks, illustrated materials, and photographic evidence, juxtaposing traditional art with popular forms like fanzines. Notable artists featured include Vincenzo Agnetti, Franco Angeli, and many others, alongside anonymous creators from that era.
