Arte Laguna Prize Celebrates 15 Years with Double Exhibition at Arsenale di Venezia in 2021

award · 2026-03-24

The Arte Laguna Prize, organized by the Associazione Culturale MoCA (Modern & Contemporary Art), marks its 15th anniversary with a double exhibition at the Arsenale Nord di Venezia from March 13 to April 5, 2021. The event will showcase 240 works from 120 finalists of the 14th and 15th editions, spanning categories including painting, sculpture, installation, virtual art, photography, digital graphics, video art, short films, performance, urban art, environmental art, and design. A jury will select three absolute winners plus two additional prize recipients from a total prize pool of €37,000. The prize was co-founded by Laura Gallon and Beatrice Susa, the latter who passed away in spring 2017. Over 15 years, more than 100 jurors have participated. New for the 15th edition is an Advisory Council, an honorary committee including Krist Gruijthuijsen of KW Berlin, gallerist Richard Frerejean Taittinger, and Libyan princess Alia Al-Senussi. The prize also collaborates with international Ambassadors active in 36 countries. A new residency in the Amazon rainforest with Labverde offers a 10-day artistic immersion. The sustainability section continues, and a partnership with Google Arts & Culture publishes all finalists' works. The platform www.artelaguna.world provides free visibility for participants. Deadline for submissions is November 27, 2020.
