Arte in Centro Returns: Summer Contemporary Art Across Abruzzo and Marche

The Arte in Centro network, founded in 2014, returns this summer with a series of contemporary culture initiatives across Abruzzo and Marche. Osvaldo Menegaz, president of the Fondazione Malvina Menegaz per le Arti e le Culture, stated that the goal is to create dialogue between local identities and the national and international cultural scene. From July 17 to September 11, at Palazzo De Sanctis in Castelbasso, Andrea Bruciati curates a comparison of Giorgio Morandi and Vincenzo Agnetti's works through a Deleuzian lens of "difference and repetition." At Palazzo Clemente, Laura Cherubini presents a selection of works from the same foundation. In Pescara, Città Sant'Angelo, and Penne, the Fondazione Aria – Fondazione Industriale Adriatica presents "Why pattern?" curated by Simone Ciglia, Francesca Lilli, LUX, and Barbara Nardacchione, focusing on artists exploring sound. Elena Petruzzi, president of the foundation, described it as dedicated to artists who have identified the sonic dimension as the privileged aspect of their research. The Associazione Arte Contemporanea Picena in Ascoli organizes meetings and conversations with art and culture personalities. Andrea Valentini noted the association has nearly 2,000 members and promotes visual arts culture through local projects.
