Arte Fiera and SetUp Bologna Award Winners Announced

The 2017 editions of Arte Fiera and SetUp in Bologna announced multiple award winners. The Cool Couple won the Premio Gruppo Euromobil under 30 with their photographic diptych 'General Krasnov’s Residence, Verzegnis #001 A/B', presented by Galleria MLZ ArtDep, for evoking a tragic WWII story through images of a fireplace. Fabrizio Passarella received the Premio Videoinsight® 2017 for 'Il Giardino Rabescato / The Arabesque-adorned Garden (Kitab al-Qalb)' from Galleria L’Ariete artecontemporanea, described as a masterpiece of video art. Riccardo Baruzzi won the Premio Rotary Bologna Valle Samoggia with 'Porta pittura' from Galleria P420, allowing viewer interaction. Carla Pellegrini Rocca, a historic Milanese gallerist with over 50 years at Galleria Milano, received the Premio ANGAMC 2017. At SetUp, Alice Patrinieri won best artist under 35 with 'Celeste' from EContemporary, and Michele Medici won best curator under 35 for his critical text on Ilaria Gentilini. Ilaria Biotti won the Premio Alviani ArtSpace for '8min20sec – on Time Travelling', Stefano Gioda won the Premio Residenza Casa Falconieri, and Nicola Malnato won the Premio Tiziano Campolmi for 'The Importance of Breathing: Deep Stairway'.
