Arte Fiera 2025: New Sections and International Focus in Bologna
Arte Fiera, Italy's first modern and contemporary art fair founded in 1974, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. Now, under the direction of Simone Menegoi and operational director Enea Righi, the fair prepares for its 2025 edition from February 7 to 9 in the historic pavilions 25 and 26. The 2025 edition introduces two main novelties: Prospettiva, an invitation-only section for emerging galleries and research artists curated by Michele D'Aurizio, and a special hospitality program for foreign curators and museum directors aimed at internationalization. The graphic identity, designed by LeftLoft for the third consecutive year, will see the iconic red circle become three-dimensional and rotating, with a palette of "unexpected pop colors" to signal exploration of new territories. The fair continues its collaboration with ANGAMC (National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries) and maintains confirmed sections: the main section (historicized and contemporary art), Fotografia e immagini in movimento curated by Gian Gavino Pazzola, Pittura XXI curated by Davide Ferri, Multipli curated by Alberto Salvadori, and Percorso, a thematic itinerary linking stands, this year focused on the idea of community. The new course under Menegoi and Righi, now in its third edition, includes a return to the historic pavilions, investment in communication and collector services.
