Arte Fiera 2017 Launches Curated Photography Section by Angela Vettese
Arte Fiera in Bologna introduces a new photography section curated by Angela Vettese for its 2017 edition, replacing the previous MIA-curated section that ran from 2014 to 2016. The section features nine galleries, mostly from northern Italy (Milan, Oderzo, Brescia, Bologna, Ferrara, Palermo) plus Amsterdam. Highlights include Mariska Karto (Public House of Art), Gianni Berengo Gardin (Contrasto), Katerina Belkina (Crearte), Hiroshi Sugimoto (Damiani), Nino Migliori's 'Tuffatore' (Valeria Bella), Nicolò Quirico (XXS), Mustafa Sabbagh (MLB), and works from Paci Contemporary and M4a with Gigliola Foschi. The shift reflects a more curatorial approach under the new artistic director.
