Arte e Vino: Contemporary Art Meets Wine in Tuscany's Maremma

The eighth edition of Arte e vino takes place in Capalbio, Tuscany, curated by Davide Sarchioni and initiated by Maria Concetta Monaca. The event features site-specific installations across six wineries, including works by Samantha Passaniti, Davide Dormino, Thomas Lange, Marco Milia, Maria Christina Hamel, Mara van Wees, and Vincenzo Pennacchi. At Il Cerchio, Passaniti's 'Il Tempio del Cerchio' uses reclaimed vineyard materials. Dormino's 'La porta di Apollo' at Tenuta Monteverro creates a symbolic threshold. Lange's 'Parnaso' at La Vigna sul Mare presents a cacophonous ceramic garden. Van Wees's 'You are Welcome' at Tenuta Monteti draws on Constructivism and Bauhaus. The Accademia di Aracne collective wraps an olive tree in crochet at Il Ponte. Pennacchi's 'I Cavalieri' at Tenuta Montauto assembles found objects. The exhibition 'Il luogo dei sogni' at Il Frantoio gallery honors Niki de Saint Phalle, whose Tarot Garden inspired the edition. The event runs through the 700th anniversary of Dante's death, linking art, wine, and territory.
