Arte Continua's Weekend Fundraiser in Tuscany Supports Public Art

Founded in 1990 in Tuscany, the nonprofit Associazione Arte Continua is set to host two Giornate per l'Arte Contemporanea on November 22-23, 2025, in Colle di Val d'Elsa and Poggibonsi. This event aims to generate funds for activities planned for 2026, including a Leandro Erlich exhibition curated by Marcello Dantas at UMoCA, commencing on March 21, 2026. An auction at Museo San Pietro on November 22 will feature works from artists such as Leandro Erlich, Kiki Smith, and Antony Gormley. The weekend will also include guided tours, artist interactions, and previews of new permanent installations. On November 23, a guided walk led by Mario Cristiani will showcase works by Mimmo Paladino and Kiki Smith. The association has established over 40 site-specific works in Val d'Elsa, advocating for the region as an agro-environmental art district. Mario Cristiani highlights art's potential to reshape urban landscapes into future 'art cities,' relying on private donations and sponsorships.
