Arte a San Leonardo: Linda Fregni Nagler's Residency at Trentino Winery
The third edition of Arte a San Leonardo, a residency and commission program at Tenuta San Leonardo winery in Avio, Trentino, features artist Linda Fregni Nagler. Her project, 'Memorie di cose affidabili,' photographs five objects from the on-site Museo di San Leonardo, combining photography and drawing to evoke old negatives. The works include a limited-edition label for San Leonardo 2020 wine, featuring Leonardo da Vinci's colmatore. Founded in 2022 by marchese Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga and curated by Giovanna Amadasi, the program previously hosted Simone Berti (2023) and Marzia Migliora (2024). The winery, run by the Guerrieri Gonzaga family for 300 years, also houses an agricultural museum established in 1975 by marchese Carlo Guerrieri Gonzaga. The residency aims to integrate contemporary art with the estate's landscape, viticulture, and history, with commissioned works eventually forming a permanent collection on the property.
