Arte-19 Virus Virtual Reality Game: ROMARAMA 2020 Goes Online

Fusolab 2.0, a non-profit organization, has developed the Arte-19 | Virus Virtual Reality Game for ROMARAMA 2020, a festival organized by Roma Capitale. This initiative merges gaming with performance art in a digital realm where a virus endangers society and artists are held captive. Players assume the role of 'fighters' tasked with freeing artists to experience their performances. Set in a virtual version of Rome's Centocelle district, the game includes totems for accessing live-streamed shows. The project, which spans three years, was awarded through the Estate Romana 2020-21-22 call. Curators Valentina Tanni, Roberto Di Maio, and Gianluca Del Gobbo selected seven artists, including CRiB with Alsina Mandarina and Verde Lima. Over 250 participants have registered on rivoluzi.one, with recruitment open until November 25, 2020. The festival will occur online from November 26 to 30, featuring performances from 9-11 PM and workshops/lectures from 5-6:30 PM.
