Artcurial acquires luxury real estate network John Taylor Group
Artcurial, the Parisian auction house founded in 2002, has announced the acquisition of the John Taylor Group, a historic real estate network established in Cannes in 1864. The partnership between the two companies began in 2013, aiming to provide comprehensive services to their shared international clientele. With this full integration, financed entirely through equity, Artcurial expands beyond its core auction business into luxury real estate. Artcurial specializes in fine arts, collector cars, jewelry, and wine, with representative offices in Brussels, Milan, Monte Carlo, Monaco, Vienna, Beijing, and Tel Aviv. In 2016, it achieved sales of €210.1 million, doubling its turnover in five years. The John Taylor Group operates in 14 countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Monaco, the UK, the US, Qatar, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, managing over 6,000 properties valued at €14 billion. Its clients have assets exceeding $30 million and annual incomes over €500,000. In 2016, the group handled transactions worth €5.5 million. Artcurial CEO Nicolas Orlowski stated that the acquisition represents a bold, pioneering strategy, creating new opportunities by integrating luxury real estate services alongside the art and auction market. Orlowski will become CEO of John Taylor Group, succeeding Delphine Pastor.
