Artcritical's 2010 Year-End Quiz Awards Piri Halasz's 'A Swinger's Guide to London' to Winners

Artcritical wrapped up its acrostic puzzle quiz for 2010, offering signed editions of Piri Halasz's 'A Swinger's Guide to London' as prizes. The initial trio of winners—Kimberly Glass from Omaha, NE; Erika Schneider from Tampa, FL; and Kim Uchiyama from New York, NY—were revealed on January 1, 2011. A fourth winner, Juilee Decker of Georgetown, KY, claimed her prize on January 15, 2011. The quiz assessed participants' knowledge of artcritical's 2010 articles, featuring quotes from artists such as Frank Bowling, Brenda Goodman, and others. Clues included references to critics Clement Greenberg and Harold Rosenberg as 'mysteryman' and 'frenemy.' The book, first published in 1967, was re-released by the Authors Guild through Backinprint.com. Contestants were advised against using Google, humorously acknowledging that it would increase site traffic. Employees and regular contributors of artcritical LLC were not eligible for awards.
