Art2Night 2017: Bergamo's White Night of Art Returns with Exhibitions and Site-Specific Installations
The fourth edition of Art2Night, Bergamo's white night of art, takes place July 7-8, 2017, organized by Proloco Bergamo's Art & Culture division. The event kicks off on Friday July 7 with a special preview by Fondazione Credito Bergamasco at Palazzo Creberg, featuring a performance of Dante's Purgatorio. On Saturday July 8, from 18:00 to 24:00, multiple venues open. At Palazzo Creberg, artist Giovanni Bonaldi presents 'Stagioni', a site-specific installation interpreting the four seasons, open until 22:00. Accademia Carrara hosts 'La Notte delle mostre' from 18:00 to 23:00, showcasing two masterpieces by Antoon van Dyck alongside Baroque works from the permanent collection. The Blank cultural association distributes artist-designed placemats by Marco Basta, Riccardo Beretta, and Andrea Mastrovito from the ArtDate festival. Contemporary Locus 12 opens the former Albergo Diurno, a 1200 sqm underground space originally an air-raid shelter later converted into a hotel (1949-1978), with works by Kader Attia and Alvin Curran, accessible via guided tours from 18:30. GAMeC offers guided tours at 20:30 of four concurrent exhibitions: 'Andy Warhol. L'opera moltiplicata' featuring Warhol's multiplied works and post-Warhol pieces; 'Con Amore più che con Amore' displaying permanent collection works; 'Alien Culture' by Pamela Rosenkranz inspired by Gentile Bellini; and videos from the ninth edition of Artists' Film International.
