Art Verona 2020 postponed to December due to COVID-19
Art Verona, originally scheduled for mid-October 2020, has been postponed to December 11-13, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was made in consultation with exhibitors, who were concerned about the evolving national and international situation. Stefano Raimondi, the new artistic director succeeding Adriana Polveroni, stated that the fair aims to be a concrete example of the 'Sistema Italia' revival, focusing on experimentation, innovation, and knowledge transfer. The postponement is part of a broader calendar reshuffling by Veronafiere, which also moved Vinitaly to April 18-21, 2021, along with Sol&Agrifood and Enolitech. Over 200 events have been rescheduled, with losses nearing €6 billion and 51,400 jobs at risk. The 16th edition of Art Verona will feature renovated structures at Veronafiere, a new entrance at Re Teodorico, and new sections and interventions by national and international curators.
