Art Sweet Art Residencies Return to Varese with Francesco Ciavaglioli
The Art Sweet Art project, founded by Saverio Verini and Laura Caruso, brings artists into private homes for creative residencies. The new edition features artist Francesco Ciavaglioli (born 1983 in Avezzano), who created the installation "Vulgata" for hosts Giulia Lazzari and Paolo Angeleri in Malnate, Varese. The work explores image reproduction and dissolution using spirit colors on absorbent paper, producing unique serial pieces inspired by editorial printing. The title references the deceptive nature of dissemination, which inevitably distorts meaning. Ciavaglioli used special paper supplied by Favini, partner of this sixth edition. The project emphasizes sharing and participation, with the creative process involving the commissioner from conception to custody. "Each 'domestic vernissage' of Art Sweet Art demonstrates how art can be a tool for meeting, exchange, and sharing," say Caruso and Verini. The opening allows friends and curious visitors to view the unique work and understand its creation process, offering artists a chance to present their work to non-specialists.
