ART SG 2024 Returns to Singapore with 114 Galleries

The ART SG fair's second edition will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore from January 19 to 21, 2024. Organized by The Art Assembly and backed by UBS, the event showcases 114 galleries from 33 nations, with 33 located in Southeast Asia. Co-founder Magnus Renfrew emphasized Singapore's increasing geopolitical and economic significance as a center for technology, biotechnology, and wealth management. UBS Co-Head Jin Yee Young reported that 90% of high-net-worth collectors intend to visit exhibitions in 2024. New commissions by Indonesian artist Eko Nugroho were revealed by UBS. Fair Director Shuyin Yang mentioned a curated selection featuring solo exhibitions and emerging talents, while public programs include FILM, curated by Sam I-Shan, and TALKS with notable figures. PLATFORM will showcase large installations by various artists, reinforcing Singapore's status as a key art market in the Indo-Pacific region.
