Art Rotterdam 2019: A Panorama of Emerging and Established Artists

Art Rotterdam 2019 featured a variety of artists and galleries that fused historical elements with modern methods. Kay Walkowiak, representing Cornelis Van Almsick Gallery, displayed photographs highlighting the deteriorating charm of Chandigarh, juxtaposing Le Corbusier's modernism with Hindu customs. Kinetic illusions were crafted by Jonas Maas, showcased by Philipp von Rosen Galerie, utilizing ultraviolet printing. Pieter Jennes, from The White House Gallery, presented figurative works inspired by James Ensor and Fauvism. The Sexauer Gallery exhibited Caroline Kryzecki's drawings, Alexander Iskin's figures, and Jay Gard's acrylics.
