Art-Rite Milan Launches Old Masters Department

Milanese auction house Art-Rite, known for modern and contemporary art, comic art, jewelry, and numismatics, has opened a new Old Masters department. The debut sale, "Arte Antica e del secolo XIX," features paintings, drawings, decorative objects, and curios. Highlights include a large-scale work on paper by Swiss artist Abraham Louis Rodolphe Ducros, "Veduta del Golfo di Baia" (estimate €10,000-20,000), reflecting the Grand Tour. Other lots: "Paesaggio Fluviale con ponte" attributed to Filippo Teodoro di Liagno (€4,500-5,000), "L'Adorazione dei pastori" by Melchiorre Gherardini, two gouache views of Milan Cathedral (€1,200-2,000), a landscape by Federico Moja (€2,000-2,400), and a series of twelve etchings "Intermezzi" by Max Klinger (€6,000-9,000). Separately, on December 21, Art-Rite holds a modern and contemporary art auction featuring Giorgio de Chirico's "Piazza d'Italia con Arianna" (€320,000-400,000), Agostino Bonalumi's "Rosso" (€40,000-60,000), Dadamaino's "Volume 1958" (€25,000-35,000), Carla Accardi's "Senza titolo" (€24,000-28,000), and Bruno Munari's "Negativo-positivo" (€15,000-25,000).
