Art-Rite auction of Italian comics masters includes Artribune commission by Maicol&Mirco

On March 17, Art-Rite auction house in Milan will offer 121 lots of original drawings and illustrations by Italian comic masters. The sale features Andrea Pazienza with plates from his 1987 volume "Pazeroticus" (reprinted by Fandango in 2012), estimated between €2,500 and €3,500. Other classic artists include Magnus (a 1974 Alan Ford drawing estimated at €500–700), Jacovitti (with a Cocco Bill original), Milo Manara, and Giovanni Romanini. Contemporary and experimental authors such as Massimiliano Frezzato and Maicol&Mirco are also present. Maicol&Mirco, the pseudonym of Michael Rocchetti, is auctioning the seven-panel story "Contro l'arte" created for Artribune Magazine in 2019 (estimated €600–1,000). Stefano Tamburini's 1980 plate for Frigidaire magazine is estimated at €4,000–8,000, alongside works by Filippo Scozzari, Guido Crepax, and Angelo Stano (a 2005 Dylan Dog cover).
