Art project brings contemporary art to nursing home residents in Osimo
In late 2019, specifically October and November, the MAC, in partnership with the Bambozzi Foundation, hosted 'Natura, Arte, Risveglio' at a nursing facility, with direction from PopUp Studio. Led by artist Allegra Corbo, eight workshops were conducted, where residents explored botanical images and crafted drawings inspired by the nursing home's gardens. These creations were later converted into stencils for a festive tablecloth for Christmas dinner. The initiative involved the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Laeng and is set to continue at the PopoUp! festival, where printed fabrics and a mural based on the residents' artwork will be produced. This collaboration emphasized the significance of art, particularly during the pandemic, and called for greater investment in culture.
