ART Power HK Panel Explores Photography Collecting in Hong Kong Market
On August 13, ART Power HK hosted a panel discussion centered on the significance of photography in the art market. The event included contributions from Fi Churchman, senior editor at ArtReview Asia, photography dealer Sarah Greene of Blue Lotus Gallery, Hong Kong collector Dimitri Naert, and Cyril Delettre, the founder and artistic director of La Galerie Paris 1839. This discussion is part of an ongoing series initiated by ART Power HK in February 2020 to explore the effects of Covid-19 on Hong Kong's art month in March. Initially intended as a four-month project to transition arts programming online, the initiative has since grown to involve over 135 organizations supporting local arts. The conversation emphasized photography's role in the market and collecting trends in Hong Kong.
