Art On The Mind returns to London with auction and exhibition supporting homeless charity
The second edition of Art On The Mind, a charity exhibition and auction benefiting Cardboard Citizens, will take place in London in summer 2019. The online auction on Paddle8 runs from June 5 to 19, with works on view at Proud Central from June 11 to 15. Participating artists include Sir Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Ian Davenport, and Jeremy Deller. Cardboard Citizens, founded and led by Adrian Jackson, uses theatre to support homeless individuals, ex-homeless people, refugees, and asylum seekers across Britain. The organization has operated for 28 years, serving an estimated 320,000 homeless people in the UK. Funds raised will also support projects in East London. Ian Davenport stated he became more aware of the growing homelessness issue in the UK and that Art On The Mind helps address mental health problems caused by homelessness.
