Art of the Treasure Hunt Returns to Chianti Vineyards for Fourth Edition
The fourth edition of Art of the Treasure Hunt, titled "From Where Comes Your Voice?", runs from June 1, 2019, across five wineries in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Organized by patron Luziah Hennessy, the event features 17 artists from eight countries. Installations are housed at Castello di Brolio (home of the Ricasoli family since the 1200s), Castello di Volpaia, Villa di Geggiano, Felsina, and Borgo San Felice. Notable works include an in-situ piece by Richard Long, a painting of Cardinal Alessandro Farnese by Yan Pei Ming, abstract-figurative works by Zheng Zhou, horse-shoe sculptures by Mark Handforth, ceramic sculptures by Memphis co-founder Natalie du Pasquier, and a permanent light sculpture "Traviata" by Bob Wilson. The official opening took place at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence with a special performance by Taiwanese artist Yahon Chang.
