Art Mall: A New Underground Art Space Opens in Milan
Art Mall, a hybrid art space and lounge bar, opened in Milan in 2019, founded by Antonio Simone and Simone Volpin. The venue, located on Via Torino, features a curated selection of contemporary artworks displayed on walls and in underground passages adorned with street art murals. It operates not as a traditional gallery but as a cultural hub where artists can exhibit and sell works without commercial constraints, with the only requirement being passion. The space includes a lounge bar offering cocktails and live jazz music, blending art with design furniture. Art Mall aims to make art accessible to a diverse audience, including art enthusiasts, music lovers, and casual visitors. Future plans include expanding to other Italian cities and proposing to the Municipality of Milan to decorate public walls with street art murals. The project was covered by Artribune in a piece by Elisabetta Scollo.
