festival-fair · 2026-04-20

The second weekend of Art Jog is currently taking place at the Jogja National Museum in Yogyakarta, featuring 54 artists until June 4. Originally launched 11 years ago during the Yogyakarta Arts Festival, it highlights both well-known and up-and-coming Indonesian artists. This year's theme, 'Enlightenment: Toward Various Futures,' focuses on hopeful perspectives. Mulyana's 2018 installation, 'Sea Remembers,' showcases vibrant crochet sea creatures, while Hiromi Tango's 'Healing Garden' invites attendees to craft tissue paper flowers. Among the prominent artists are Heri Dono, Entang Wiharso, Mella Jaarsma, Ronald Ventura, and Hiromi Tango. Additionally, the event includes satellite activities as part of 'Jogja Art Weeks' and has transformed from a platform for unrepresented artists into an independent fair featuring live performances and a Young Artist Award.
