ART.IT Talks at Bologna Academy of Fine Arts Feature Saraceno, Caretto/Spagna
The ART.IT – Art in Transition project, promoted by Italy's Ministry of University and Research, is hosting a series of international talks on art and sustainability at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna. The upcoming guests are Tomás Saraceno on November 14 and the duo Caretto/Spagna on November 17. The project, led by the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna as the main partner alongside the Academies of Catania and Ravenna, aims to foster research and artistic practice in four thematic areas: Art and Environment, Art and Inclusion, Art and Regeneration, and Art and Contemporary Technologies. The talks are open to the public and explore artistic processes related to environmental sustainability, collaborative practices, and ethical approaches. Previous guests included Slovenian artist and architect Marjetica Potrč. Future speakers include anthropologist Timothy Ingold on December 10 and ecoLogicStudio in January 2026. The project was conceived by Maria Rita Bentini, coordinator and professor at the Academy, building on existing international relationships with institutions such as the Louisiana Museum in Denmark, Studio Orta Les Moulins, and Galleria Continua in France.
