Art in Prisons: Polish Artists Collaborate with Inmates at Lokal_30 Warsaw

The exhibition 'Art in Prisons' at Lokal_30 in Warsaw brings together seventeen artists, including Paweł Althamer and Artur Żmijewski, who worked with inmates in Polish prisons over several months. Curated by Katya Shadkovska, the project used seminars, workshops, and readings to foster cooperation among prisoners through creative and intellectual activities. The resulting works—sculptures, videos, photos, and drawings—are displayed individually, each reflecting the collaborative process.
