Art Everywhere's Second UK Campaign Invites Public Voting on 70 British Artworks

cultural-heritage · 2026-04-20

Art Everywhere launches its second campaign to display British artworks across UK poster sites, bus stops, and billboards. From June 3, 2014, the public can vote for favorites from a longlist of 70 works spanning the 1500s to present day, sourced from national public collections. Artists Grayson Perry and Antony Gormley will announce the top 25 selections on July 16. Selected works will appear on tens of thousands of outdoor advertising spaces from July 21 to August 31. A film showcasing the artworks will screen in over 1,000 cinemas through August. Crowdfunding opportunities allow donations to support printing costs, with rewards including postcard sets and posters based on contribution levels. The three-week voting period precedes the physical display phase. This initiative promotes British art through widespread public engagement and visibility.
