Art Encounters Biennial 2025 Draws 15,000+ Visitors in Timișoara

The 2025 Art Encounters Biennial in Timișoara, themed 'Bounding Histories. Whispering Tales.', has attracted more than 15,000 attendees at venues such as Garrison Command, Art Encounters Foundation, and FABER. Curated by Ana Janevski and Tevž Logar, the event features artists spanning multiple generations, with a focus on new practices from Romania and Moldova. Notable works include Kapwani Kiwanga's 'Positive.Negative', Karpo Godina's film 'Healthy People for Fun', and Selma Selman's artwork using a satellite dish. The program includes readings, tours, workshops, and performances, wrapping up on July 13 with Christine Cizmaș's 'Between Walls and Words'. Supported by the City of Timișoara and various cultural institutions, exhibitions are available from Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00–8:00 PM, until July 13.
