Art Dubai Group Appoints Alexie Glass-Kantor and Dunja Gottweis to Senior Leadership Roles

Art Dubai Group has announced the appointment of Alexie Glass-Kantor as Executive Director, Curatorial, and Dunja Gottweis as Director of Art Dubai Fair. Both will operate from Dubai alongside current leaders Benedetta Ghione and Pablo del Val. Glass-Kantor will begin her role in April 2025, concentrating on partnership strategies, institutional growth, and fostering international collaborations to elevate the Gulf's art scene on a global scale. She previously held the position of Executive Director at Artspace Sydney and curated the Australian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022, as well as Encounters at Art Basel Hong Kong from 2015 to 2025. Gottweis, taking charge of Art Dubai Fair for its 2026 edition, brings a wealth of experience from her tenure as Global Head of Gallery Relations and Management Board member at Art Basel since 2022. Her career began at MAK, the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, and she played pivotal roles in launching Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Basel Paris. Ben Floyd, Co-Founder and CEO of Art Dubai Group, referred to these appointments as a "game-changer," aimed at enhancing the flagship annual event and broadening its influence in the contemporary art landscape, while also supporting the region's cultural development.
