Art Dubai appoints Alexie Glass-Kantor and Dunja Gottweis to new leadership roles
Art Dubai has announced the appointment of Alexie Glass-Kantor as executive director for curatorial initiatives and Dunja Gottweis as the director of the Art Dubai fair. Glass-Kantor, who directed Sydney's Artspace from 2013 until 2024, has curated significant projects such as the Australian Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale and Art Basel Hong Kong. She is also a board member for several organizations, including MCAD Manila. Meanwhile, Gottweis transitions from Art Basel, where she served as global head of gallery relations and was part of the management board since 2022, playing a key role in launching Art Basel Hong Kong and Paris. Glass-Kantor will begin her role in April 2025, while Gottweis will oversee the planning for the 2026 fair. Art Dubai 2025 is set to take place from April 18-20 at Madinat Jumeirah.
