Art Busan and Tokyo Gendai Launch CONNECT Collaboration with Korean and Chinese Galleries

Art Busan and Tokyo Gendai have announced their collaboration, named CONNECT, under the theme "Crossroads of Contemporary Art." This partnership will feature a primary program at Tokyo Gendai, scheduled for September 11–14, 2025, at Pacifico Yokohama, alongside a satellite exhibition at Terrada Art Complex in Tokyo from September 10–15, 2025. Participating in Tokyo Gendai 2025 are nine Korean galleries and two from China, including Johyun Gallery, Gana Art, and ShanghART. During TENNOZ ART WEEK, six Korean galleries will showcase artists such as Kim Hongjoo and Lee Bae at Terrada Art Complex. On September 14, joint discussions with art fair directors will occur at the Yokohama venue. This initiative, backed by the Korean Ministry of Culture, aims to enhance regional exchanges and promote Korean contemporary art globally. Future plans include reciprocal presentations at Art Busan 2026 and expanding the East Asian art network, marking a significant step in cross-cultural collaboration between Korea and Japan.
