Art Brussels 2022: 157 galleries, NFTs, and socio-political themes
The 38th edition of Art Brussels is set to take place from April 28 to May 1, 2022, at Tour & Taxis, featuring 157 galleries across 26 nations. The event comprises five distinct sections: PRIME, DISCOVERY, REDISCOVERY, INVITED, and SOLO. PRIME will showcase artists with museum exhibitions, such as Kasper Bosmans, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Hadassah Emmerich, Guillaume Leblon, and Wael Shawky. Awards include €10,000 for the best artist and €5,000 for the top gallery in SOLO and DISCOVERY. The fair will explore themes like gender, identity, climate, and socio-political issues, with several galleries highlighting NFT artists. Additionally, a partnership with Parallel.art will present Web3 and cryptocurrency initiatives, including an NFT education stand.
