Art Brussels 2019 Showcases Emerging and Established Artists Amidst European Fair Season

This weekend marks the 37th edition of the Art Brussels fair, which aligns with Berlin Gallery Weekend and comes just before the Venice Biennale. More than 150 galleries from around the globe are taking part, showcasing curated video displays and unique presentations. In the Discovery section, Austrian artist Anita Witek showcases her photographs at the l'Etrangère gallery booth. At NOME gallery, Goldin+Senneby's project features a plot of land in Genk, Belgium, containing a wooden chest filled with coal powder and a poem by Mustafa Kör. Belgian artists Jos de Gruyter and Harald Thys present Irmgard Speck, set to represent Belgium at the Venice Biennale. Additionally, Romanian artist Paul Neagu's work is featured in the Rediscoveries section. Koenraad Dedobbeleer's exhibition at Clearing Brussels is open until 31 May, while Anicka Yi's show at Gladstone Gallery continues until 15 June.
