Art Brussels 2018: 50th Edition with 147 Galleries and Expanded Program

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Art Brussels, the oldest contemporary art fair in Europe, will take place from April 20 to 22 at the Tour & Taxis Exhibition and Trade Centre. Established in 1968, the fair showcases 147 galleries from 32 nations, divided into four sections: Prime, Discovery, Rediscovery, and Solo. The Prime section features around 110 galleries dedicated to modern and contemporary art, while Discovery focuses on emerging talents. Rediscovery emphasizes underrepresented artists from 1917 to 1987, and Solo presents exhibitions by individual artists. Italian participants include Enrico Astuni and Thomas Brambilla. The event is backed by Belfius Wealth Management, and the Sculpture Project displays outdoor works by eight artists. Additionally, POPPOSITIONS will occur from April 19 to 22, with Gallery Night scheduled for April 18 from 6 to 9 PM.
