The 23rd edition of Art Basel Miami Beach wrapped up with strong sales from 283 galleries, showcasing optimism stemming from New York auctions. David Zwirner achieved notable sales, including a Gerhard Richter painting for $5.5 million, Alice Neel's 'Pregnant Nude' (1967) for $3.3 million, and a Dana Schutz piece for $1.2 million. Hauser & Wirth experienced a 40% increase in sales, moving George Condo's 'Untitled (Taxi Painting)' for around $4 million. Massimo De Carlo highlighted a favorable atmosphere, with artworks priced between $50,000 and $300,000 finding buyers.
