The 23rd Taishin Arts Award in Taiwan celebrated three talented individuals: Ni Xiang received the Visual Arts award for her exhibition on elderly care, Hsu Peng earned the Performing Arts prize for his theatrical work, and Chang Li-Ren took home the Grand Prize for a notable installation. In Germany, Charmaine Poh and Gülbin Ünlü have been chosen for the Villa Romana Prize 2026 residency in Florence. Carrie Yamaoka was granted the 2025 Maria Lassnig Prize, which comes with €50,000 and a solo exhibition in Hamburg in 2026. Japan named Lisa Horikawa and Mizuki Takahashi as co-curators for its pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale.
