AROYA Cruises Launches Ship with 2,600 Commissioned Artworks Celebrating Saudi Heritage
Launched in 2023 by Cruise Saudi, AROYA Cruises boasts an impressive onboard art collection comprising 2,600 commissioned pieces that celebrate Saudi Arabian culture, arranged into five thematic categories on Deck 6. The 'Crafts of the Kingdom' section showcases 40 hand-embroidered textiles created by local artists, along with a prominent installation by Rana AlOgayyel. In the lift lobbies, German artist Anna Maria Bellmann has contributed geometric designs, while Hind Rawas crafted hand-carved gypsum pieces for the Irth restaurant. 'Coastal Journeys' features maritime-themed works by Tahiti Pehrson, 'Land Journeys' includes contributions from Raeda Ashour and Stephanie Neville, and 'Scripting the Past' displays Arabic calligraphy by Ahmad Tariq Jeddawi and Mohammed Khadder. 'Beyond Patterns' features Khalid Al Malouki and Al Hanouf Al-Laboun. AROYA supports Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance tourism.
