Armory Show 2026 Names Curators for Focus and Platform Sections

The Armory Show 2026 has announced María Elena Ortiz, Curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, as curator of the Focus section, which will highlight artists of the Caribbean region and diaspora. Jovanna Venegas, Curator at SculptureCenter in New York, will curate the Platform section featuring large-scale sculptures and installations. The fair runs September 24–27, 2026, in New York City. Focus galleries include Casa Hoffmann (Bogotá), Heliconia Projects (Santo Domingo), TERN Gallery (Nassau), and Tout-Monde Art Foundation (Miami). Platform exhibitors include 193 Gallery (Paris/Venice/Saint Tropez), AIRIE Foundation (Miami), and Collectio (Santiago). Venegas was also selected to organize the inaugural KTX Biennial in Dallas in spring 2027. Ortiz previously co-curated Flow States – LA TRIENAL 2024 at El Museo del Barrio and founded the Caribbean Cultural Institute at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Other fair sections include Solo, Presents, Not-For-Profit, and Galleries, with James Cope Gallery of Dallas among participants.
