Armineh Negahdari's 'The Living River' at Cell Project Space
Until 9 August, Cell Project Space in East London is showcasing Armineh Negahdari's solo exhibition, 'The Living River.' Curated by Milika Muritu and Anne-Sophie Dinant, the exhibit features this year's drawings influenced by Iranian poet Shams Langeroodi's 'Lotus of the Swamp.' Negahdari interprets the river as a state of being, highlighting themes of flow and continuity. Among the prominent pieces are 'Tous et un' (2026) and 'Habilité par le vent' (2026). The upstairs area, bathed in soft linen-white light, enhances the viewing experience. Utilizing materials such as bedsheets and cardboard, she employs oil, graphite, and charcoal, driven by improvisation. Simultaneously, she is presenting her inaugural solo exhibition in France, 'What Colour Is Your Sky Today?' at Fondation Louis Vuitton.
