Armani/Silos launches Continuum cultural program in Milan
Armani/Silos in Milan has launched Continuum, a new cultural program of events and performances curated by publishing house NERO, running alongside the exhibition 'Giorgio Armani Privé 2005 – 2025' (on view until December 28). The program opens October 10 with Space Afrika, a duo presenting the Italian premiere of 'Yobs', an immersive performance blending sound and image. On October 17, Heavy Traffic, a literary magazine founded by Patrick McGraw and Richard Turley, will stage a dramatic reading. November 8 features Norwegian-Mexican multi-instrumentalist Carmen Villain with a live project previously shown at Berlin Atonal. November 19 includes free screenings curated by creative director Katherine Korbjuhn, producer Bill Kouligas, and curators Francesco Urbano Ragazzi, in collaboration with UBU, the online archive of sound poetry founded by Kenneth Goldsmith in 1996. The program concludes December 19 with London-based cellist Lucinda Chua, whose performance draws on her Sino-Malay heritage and Suzuki method training, featuring her composition 'I Left The Earth' used in the Black Mirror episode 'Eulogy'. The exhibition itself, curated by the late Giorgio Armani, showcases about 150 haute couture garments from the Privé line across the entire Silos space.
