ARIS SpazioMuseion Opens in Brescia's Parco delle Terme di Boario

A new contemporary art space, ARIS SpazioMuseion, has been established within the Parco delle Terme di Boario in Darfo Boario Terme, Brescia. The space is managed by the collective ARIS – Artisti Risorti, founded in 1995 and comprising artists Martino Martinotta, Ferdinando Cinini, and Riccardo Simoni. The inaugural project, titled "Mito," will open on May 1, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The name SpazioMuseion references the etymology of "museum" as the temple of the Muses, daughters of Zeus and Memory. ARIS's research explores the contemporary artist's role not as creator but as a bridge for transferring subjects or gestures from individual to universal, from oblivion to memory. The "Mito" project, previously featured in group exhibitions such as the XIV Quadriennale di Roma (Fuori Tema/Italian Feeling) in 2005, centers on ordinary people chosen for their representativeness and concreteness in daily life, aiming to mythologize the individual by intertwining biographical narrative and symbolic construction. SpazioMuseion is conceived not merely as an exhibition space but as an environment where experience is activated and transformed through viewer engagement, and as a site for dialogue among ARIS members and other artists to explore the frontiers of contemporary arts.
