Arianna Carossa's 'Limoni' at Casa Museo Jorn Blends Ceramics with Site-Specificity
Arianna Carossa's exhibition 'Limoni' (born 1973 in Genoa, currently residing in New York) has launched at Casa Museo Asger Jorn in Albissola Marina, and will be on display until May 29, 2016. Curated by Luca Bochicchio and organized in collaboration with the Amici di Casa Jorn, the showcase includes sculptures and installations that signify Carossa's return to ceramics, created in partnership with G. Mazzotti 1903. The artist designed this project specifically for the museum, highlighting her connection with Asger Jorn. Her artistic approach transitioned from subtraction to addition, focusing on themes of emptiness. The color yellow, often seen through gold, represents eternity, while her work's uncanny nature recontextualizes familiar objects, particularly mannequins. Living in New York, Carossa reflects that her art mirrors her personal evolution.
