Archivorum Library Opens in Turin as a Living Archive for Independent Art Publishing

Founded in 2019 by collector and entrepreneur Mia Rigo Saitta, the nonprofit Archivorum inaugurated the Archivorum Library in Turin on April 11, 2025. Situated under Galleria Franco Noero at Via Mottalciata 10/B, this library serves as a dynamic archive and an open-access resource for researchers, students, artists, and curators. It boasts an expanding collection of thousands of art books from various independent publishers, including About Books, Dent de Lion, and Fitzcarraldo Editions, among others. The initiative seeks to transform the concept of an archive into a means for social, educational, and intellectual advancement. Additionally, Archivorum operates Archivorum x M, a publishing project influenced by Mario Merz's 'Voglio fare subito un libro,' allowing artists full creative control. Notable publications like Luis Lázaro Matos's 'The Pond Skater' and Simon Starling's 'A-A', B-B' received 'The Most Beautiful Swiss Book' accolades in 2021 and 2022. Archivorum also has locations in Megève, Geneva, and Milan.
