Archivio Luigi Pericle launches digital video series

digital · 2026-04-27

In 2016, Andrea and Greta Biasca-Caroni established the Archivio Luigi Pericle after purchasing the artist's previous residence in Ascona, Switzerland. On April 21, 2020, they introduced a new digital initiative called "Luigi Pericle on stage – clips d’arte nello spazio virtuale." This project features video clips released twice weekly on the archive's website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. It showcases discussions about Pericle's work with 20 contributors, such as Andrea Biasca-Caroni and François Barras. The aim is to foster interest in Pericle during the COVID-19 pandemic. Luigi Pericle (1916–2001) was a multifaceted artist who settled in Ascona in the 1950s. A significant exhibition, "Luigi Pericle. Beyond the visible," took place in 2019 at Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice. The archive intends to open to the public in the future.
