Archivi Mazzini: 400,000 garments from Massa Lombarda on display at Palazzo Tozzoni in Imola

The exhibition 'Ricerche di stile. Gli Archivi Mazzini a Palazzo Tozzoni' presents around 100 garments from the Archivi Mazzini, a collection of 400,000 pieces housed in Massa Lombarda, Ravenna. The collection was built by Attilio Mazzini and is a reference for designers worldwide. The show is staged at Palazzo Tozzoni, an 18th-century noble residence donated to the city of Imola in 1978 with its original furnishings. The selection is curated to dialogue with the palace's rooms, not as a costume history manual. Highlights include a Delphos dress by Mariano Fortuny (c. 1925), the only piece not from the Archivi Mazzini, alongside creations by Issey Miyake, Jil Sander, Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Capucci, Valentino, Romeo Gigli, Maurizio Galante, Dolce & Gabbana (the cone-bra body worn by Madonna), Vivienne Westwood, Monica Bolzoni, and Stone Island. The exhibition is supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Imola and includes a documentary.
