Archigrest's Masurian Lake House: A 163 m² Sustainable Home in Poland
Archigrest has completed a 163 m² single-family house in the Masurian Lake District of Poland, designed to blend with its natural surroundings. The project, led by architects Maciej Kaufman and Marcin Maraszek, features a southwest-facing balcony that opens to expansive landscapes, with terraces extending from the kitchen and living room—the home's central core. Interior elements like exposed beams, terrace windows, and skylights allow natural light from multiple directions, creating a warm ambiance year-round. The house was completed in 2023 and photographed by Kuba Rodziewicz. Collaborators included Katarzyna Lis and Kewin Niewiarowski, with structural engineering by IKON Michał Dyszkiewicz, landscaping by topoScape, MEP & HVAC by IMEK, and contractors SDS Domy Szkieletowe and LDM Mazury. Products used include Danfoss, FAKRO, and Wienerberger. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta.
